The above rules seem slightly inconsistent with those in Section 1 of the current (-00) doc: the doc sounds like it might make minor changes itself rather than roll new versions of old RFCs.

If we're going to write this document, let's avoid creating more little do-nothing documents: have this document make minor changes and declare other documents obsolete, when that can be done easily.
Accordingly, I oppose the three rules above.

Does the working group think that this effort warrants a meeting in Philadelphia, that basically will be a walk through on the
document to identify which sections have issues ?

It seems like physical meetings could well be useful, but only if we have a document that's far more fleshed out than this -00. Let's hold off on making that decision until we see the -01 (and maybe -02). If there is no -01, then no meeting.

In general, this does seem like a useful thing for the world to have. I'm not sure how much time I'll be able to contribute.
