Looking at this URL:

the IANA has allocated a number of RR type codes that are not
documented in RFC documents. I don't really care much about the
procedural problem, but imagine someone trying to implement a DNS
element without looking at the BIND source code.
I would point an implementer to the IANA pages to see what, for
instance, RTYPE codes have been defined. I would expect that the
IANA registry would then identify the document describing the type.
The URL above has a bunch of lame or weak pointers (to some of the
types) and I have been trying to get IANA to change that (going
back a few years now).
That's not the question or matter for this group though. The
question is what should be done about these undocumented types?
Answer A - document them.
Answer B - deprecate them.

Would this require a draft listing these items to assist IANA in
making the changes?
