A cool concept. And a fringe case at best. I am hard pressed to find this
situation in large and/or widespread management domains -- most servers are
by intention or legacy somewhat unique. This also is an operational issue.

So why are you attacking the AXFR concept by proposing something completely
different, that does not fill the same need?
