Everybody agrees that a clarification would be useful. This document is
fraudulently posing as a clarification, and perhaps fooling some people
into supporting it for that reason.

Example: In his (false) declarations of consensus in March 2001 and June
2001, Gudmundsson claimed that this document ``formalizes the zone
transfer protocol in accordance with the fielded DNS server software.''
Sounds great, doesn't it? The problem is that it simply isn't true.

If you're asking whether dishonesty is acceptable, the answer is no. If
you're asking whether dishonesty is the only problem with axfr-clarify,
