sure, but...

...this is one of the reasons the netscape home page often does not load
the first time, and it's a silly thing to do for caching reasons, but at
least it's something the standards allow.

(and yes, i sometimes deliberately use a far-away dns proxy just so that
the responses servers want to tune for "me" can be as stupid as possible;
and i know from direct observation that hundreds of thousands of modem
pool users have the same misdirection in their dns lookup path -- cool, huh?)
