The delegation from the root ("NIC") doesn't include information as to whether
a server is primary or secondary -- it just lists the servers.  Therefore it
makes very little difference to anyone other than the servers themselves which
one is primary and which one is secondary.

You will of course have to cut a hole in your "firewall" to permit TCP/53
traffic.
