Re: About the creation of new 3-letter domain(s)

I'm of two minds on this issue- 1) do we really care what the names "look"
like?, 2)won't we be counting on the existence of some sort of directory
lookup service in the near future?

As a DNS/IP administrator I like have DNS names that tell me where/what
a device is so our name space is configured as such. But that is rather
cruel to normal humans (not us :-) so everything gets a reasonable alias.
If the name space of the future is going to be directly used by humans
let's get the human factors/cog psych types into the discussion and get
the "normal" perspective.

I believe that we are going to have to have some sort of directory service
that does away with the need to know/remember name strings... there are just
too many nodes/services out there and that doesn't seem to be the way folks
want to remember things.
