The size of the PDU is the relevant metric, but the number of objects. If you have a recent version of smidump, you can run "smidump -f sizes" to get some estimates of PDU sizes (excluding the message portion which is heavily SNMP version and parameter dependent).

Thanks. That's a useful new feature.

Our module assumes SNMPv3 security.  Does there also exist a worst case
calculation for USM authentication?  How to consider encryption?
